The so called ” Brownlee” case which penalized the attorneys who took a divorce matter to trial ncurring huge legal bills for the client, without offering mediation to the client, and the fact that Mediation is now compulsory in terms of the Children’s Act, has now changed the divorce law landscape in South Africa.
