The firm was established in 1923 by R.P. Dewar who was succeeded by E.R. Chapman in 1933. In 1959 J.C.N. Borman and J.P. Snyman succeeded E.R. Chapman, who then practiced under the name of Chapman Borman & Snyman. M.C. Barnard joined the firm in 1960 and in 1969 the name was changed to Borman Snyman and Barnard. In 1989 the partnership was converted into a Incorporated Company and the present directors are: Johann Fredrich Winnertz, Jacobus van der Wateren. Borman Snyman & Barnard Inc. has been rendering services to the community of Mokopane, better known as Potgietersrus, as Attorneys, Notaries and Conveyancers since 1923 and intend to do so long after the present directors have passed on.
